Here’s a simplified flow diagram for a typical stone crusher plant, along with a step-by-step explanation of the process:

Process Steps Explained:
1. Raw Material Extraction (Quarry)
– Stones are extracted from a quarry via drilling/blasting.
– Large rocks are transported to the plant by dump trucks or loaders.

2. Primary Crushing (Jaw Crusher)
– Large stones are fed into a jaw crusher for coarse crushing.
– Output: Smaller pieces (~6–10 inches).

3. Secondary Crushing (Cone/Impact Crusher)
– Smaller stones from the primary crusher are further reduced in size.
– Cone crushers (for hard rocks) or impact crushers (for softer rocks) are used.
– Output: 1–3 inches aggregates.

4. Screening (Vibrating Screens)
– Crushed material is separated by size using vibrating screens.
– Oversized material is sent back to secondary/tertiary crushers.

5. Tertiary Crushing (Optional, VSI Crusher)
– For fine aggregates or sand production, a Vertical Shaft Impact (VSI) crusher may be used.

6. Washing & Classification (Optional)
– Sand and small aggregates may pass through a sand washer to remove dust and impurities.

7. Final Products
– Separated into different sizes:
– Coarse aggregates (>10mm, for concrete).
– Fine aggregates/sand (<5mm, for plastering/mortar).

– Feeders: Regulate material flow into crushers.
– Conveyor Belts: Transport material between stages.
– Dust Control Systems: Suppress dust emissions (e.g., water sprays, bag filters
