As Saudi Arabia accelerates its Vision 2030 goals, the transformation of industrial waste into valuable resources has become a national priority. In the thriving construction sectors of Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam, marble waste—once a burden on landfills—is being repurposed through advanced crushing plants into high-quality aggregates for green building projects.

The Strategic Importance of Marble Recycling in KSA

Traditional marble processing in Saudi Arabia generates significant waste, often exceeding 70% of the total extracted material. By 2035, the Kingdom aims to divert 85% of industrial waste from landfills. Implementing a professional marble waste crushing plant allows operators to:

  • Align with Saudi Vision 2030: Support the circular economy by converting waste into value-added products.
  • Meet Saudi Building Codes (SBC): Produce recycled aggregates that comply with SBC 303 (Soil and Foundations) and SBC 1001 (Green Buildings).
  • Supply Mega-Projects: Provide sustainable materials for Giga-projects like NEOM and The Red Sea Projectالمركز السعودي لكود البناءالمركز السعودي لكود البناء +2

Advanced Process Flow for Marble Waste Crushing

A professional marble waste recycling line requires a specialized configuration to handle the high hardness and specific gravity of marble blocks and sludge.

1. Primary Crushing: Size Reduction

Large marble offcuts and quarry blocks (often 500mm+) are fed into a Jaw Crusher. This stage reduces the material to a manageable size (under 100mm) while minimizing energy consumption.

  • Key Equipment: PE Series Jaw Crusher.

2. Secondary Crushing & Shaping

To achieve the cubical shape required for high-strength concrete, the primary crushed material is sent to an Impact Crusher or a Cone Crusher. In Saudi Arabia, where marble is often hard and abrasive, a Hydraulic Cone Crusher is preferred for its lower wear-part cost and high efficiency.

  • Key Equipment: HST Single Cylinder Hydraulic Cone Crusher.

3. Fine Crushing & Sand Making (VSI Stage)

For premium applications like decorative tiles or high-performance pervious concrete, a Vertical Shaft Impactor (VSI) is used. This stage produces “Marble Sand” with excellent gradation and low silt content.

  • Key Equipment: VSI6X Series Sand Making Machine.

4. Multi-Stage Screening & Washing

Vibrating screens separate the crushed marble into specific fractions (e.g., 0-5mm, 5-10mm, 10-20mm). If the waste includes marble slurry or dust, a Sand Washing Machine and Filter Press are integrated to recover clean water and produce dry marble powder for the cement industry.

Investing in a marble waste crushing plant in Saudi Arabia is no longer just an environmental choice—it is a strategic business move. By turning “waste” into “engineered aggregate,” local plants can reduce the environmental pressure on the Kingdom’s ecosystems while meeting the soaring demand for sustainable construction materials.
