– Geological mapping (surface and subsurface)

Once a viable deposit is confirmed, permits are obtained, and infrastructure (roads, power, water) is set up.

## 2. Coal Mining Methods
Depending on depth and geology, coal is extracted via:

A. Surface Mining (Open-Cast/Strip Mining)
Used when coal seams are near the surface.
– Overburden removal: Soil and rock above coal are removed using draglines, shovels, or bulldozers.
– Coal extraction: Exposed coal is mined using excavators and loaded onto trucks.
